Chino, California June 21, 2016 – As of today, American Bright Optoelectronics Corp. announced the expansion of their industry leading Ingeni-AC family of UL recognized, electronically dimmable direct AC LED modules with the addition of two 40x40mm2 COB units. The COB light engine modules employ American Bright’s patented SimpleDrive® technology which eliminates the need for additional external drivers. SimpleDrive allows LED luminaires to connect directly to 120VAC line voltage and comes standardized with industry leading dimming performance.

The COB family provides dedicated, application-specific solutions, for the commercial and residential down-lighting, bulb, and retrofit markets. Featuring a state-of-the-art ceramic PCB with advanced thermal performance, the family is equipped with industry standard ANSI color bins to assure compliance with the latest standards from the DLC and Energy Star programs. 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 5000K color temperatures are standard in lumen packages ranging from 950 to 2100 lumens in both 10W (95LPW) and 24W (88LPW) configurations. With an LES (light emitting surface) of only 20mm, compliance with many off-the-shelf optical solutions is also assured, further reducing time regarding market and development costs normally associated with lighting-classed product development cycles.

The complete Ingeni-AC light engine family is readily available in standardized compliant ANSI color bins from warm white (2700K CCT) to cool white (6500K CCT) color temperatures. A high CRI of greater than 90 is available in all lighting classes, ANSI, and color temperatures. The inherent efficiency of an AC-direct design allows for a high power factor greater than 0.9 with no additional power conditioning or power factor correction circuitry required. An additional benefit of the innovative configuration is the full range compatibility with electronic dimmers. Compatibility with many electronics dimmers has been confirmed through independent testing. The simple plug and play nature of the American Bright solution reduces development time and assembly costs while still maintaining the robust and reliable features of a solid-state lighting product.

“The COB form factor makes for rapid product development,” noted George Lee, President of American Bright Optoelectronics Corp. “The simple plug and play component level solution has been asked for by numerous partners, and we are very pleased with the performance of our first generation offering.” Lee added.
