A prestigious wholesaling company that creates a qualified, responsible source to the rapidly growing market for LED’s in the North America market seeks an experienced and highly qualified Industrial Product Manager who has a demonstrated background in Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Physics or closely related field. Candidates should have extensive experience in product management, technical support, and testing lab, as well as have a strong knowledge of LED components, electronic devises, and lighting control solutions. The Industrial Product Manager is expected to lead and conduct LED product and/or solution search, review engineering/design feedbacks from factories, provide troubleshooting and technical support, planning for product roadmap, review new product plan, and among others as detailed below.
To apply for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
*Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Physics or closely related field (foreign equivalent is acceptable);
*2 year experience in LED product management, including hands-on technical support, lab testing, and simulation experience;
*2 year experience in LED product material performance assessment, such as observing material performance and examining material deterioration;
*Knowledgeable and familiar with LED components, electronic devices, lighting control solutions, automotive lighting products;
*Knowledgeable and familiar with luminary related regulations, such as UL Standards, EMC, CE, CA title 24, SAE, ECE R65;
*Excellent people and verbal communicating skills and demonstrated ability to communicate in English and facilitate communication between factories and customers;
*Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of staff/management within the organization;
*Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for attending meetings, seminars, conferences, or training courses;
*Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
*Lead and conduct LED product and/or solution search and cross reference for customers to optimize the functionality, including light output, CRI, power consumption, easy installation, and luminous efficacy, of their system;
*Review engineering/design feedbacks from factories to prepare comprehensive technical recommendation reports, for example, IP level, UL regulation, and application notes, to customers to make sure customers have complete and accurate documentation;
*Provide troubleshooting and technical supports to outside sales, distributors, and customers regarding LED components, AC modules, customized PCB assembly, light control products, and embedded system solutions;
*Plan for product roadmap and lead new products development;
*Review new product plans and make recommendations for material selection based on mechanical design objectives, thermal management consideration, and cost evaluation;
*Work on product certification with UL, Intertek, and DLC testing labs;
*Manage technical aspect of the products and work on refining the current products per feedback from the customers.
