American Bright Introduces New RGB with Built-in IC

Integrated circuit features self-detection signal

 

Chino, CA (January 24, 2018) – American Bright today announced a new series of PLCC 5050 / 3530 RGB LED chips.  The RGB PLCC chip has an integrated circuit that features self-detection signal, support for continuous oscillation, and pulse with modulation (PWM) output that can maintain static screen. These new devices have a low power consumption of 0.2W (max: 1W), applied voltage of 5V and an operating temperature -40° C to 70° C.  The emitted red, green, blue can achieve various color mixes with 8-bit (256 level) color set with 5-bit (32 level) brightness adjustment.

The RoHS-compliant RGB LED chip is well-suited for infrared and vapor phase reflow solder process and automatic SMT pick and place equipment. This new PLCC RGB device features a water clear lens and is ideal for a multitude of applications including indoor and outdoor commercial and residential lighting, light bars, and gaming equipment.

Patented LED chip design reduces circuit driver complexity

 

Chino, C.A. (August 1, 2017) – American Bright, a global LED lighting solutions manufacturer, today announced a new series of EzyLED 3030.  EzyLEDs are connected in parallel, and directly driven by a conventional 12V /24V DC source. For this series of low-to-medium powered LEDs, the IC is built into the LED chip design which dramatically reduces the additional circuitry and eliminates the need for on-the board IC driver and other passive components.  Without the need for extra resistors, bridge rectifiers and current regulative diode, inventory management is dramatically reduced making this an ideal solution due to its simplicity and ease of use.

The EzyLED 3030 devices operate over a wide voltage range while the luminous intensity remains constant for 10.4V < Vin < 24V, and maintains approximately 50% of its nominal value when input voltage drops.  These devices can actively modulate the power usage by decreasing the input current to avoid overheating.   The input current, light output, and color temperature can stay consistent despite the exterior voltage changes or fluctuations.
